We will all win if we follow these keys to the game:<\/p>\n<h3>Know the Rules<\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s illegal to drive with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or higher. When it comes to drinking and driving, law enforcement doesn\u2019t throw a yellow flag; they throw the playbook at you. You\u2019ll get pulled over, arrested, and prosecuted. Your wallet takes a big hit, too: the average DUI court case costs about $10,000.<\/p>\n<h3>Play It Safe<\/h3>\n<p>Defense wins championships; your best defense is to plan for a sober ride. From taxis and ride shares to public transportation and designated drivers, run the play that will score you home safely.<\/p>\n<h3>Be a Party MVP<\/h3>\n<p>Volunteer to be a designated driver. Let your team know that you\u2019ll be there for them when the party\u2019s over with a safe and sober ride home.<\/p>\n<h3>If You\u2019ve Been Drinking, You\u2019re Benched<\/h3>\n<p>There\u2019s no place on the road for anyone who has been drinking. If someone tries to drive after drinking, tell them to ride the bench until you help them find a sober ride home.<\/p>\n<h3>Be the Head Coach When Hosting<\/h3>\n<p>Take care of the designated drivers and provide plenty of food and non-alcoholic drinks. Most importantly, make the game-winning call: intercept their keys before they drink.<\/p>\n<p>We all have the same game plan when it comes to preventing drunk driving. And always buckle up.
