Stephens Announces Oceans of Possibilities 2023 Summer Reading Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This summer, State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) is launching his annual summer reading program. He invites 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0District young students to participate in his \u201cOceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program\u201d during their summer vacation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether you\u2019re spending your summer on vacation, at home, or exploring new adventures in nature, there\u2019s no companion like a good book!\u201d said Rep. Stephens. \u201cI encourage eligible students to participate in my summer reading program to grow their minds, learn something new, and expand their imaginations. Spend your summer vacation with a good book and dive right in to this summer reading program!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To be a summer reader, Kindergarten through 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0graders in the 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0District or who attend schools in the 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0District must read ten books during their summer vacation. Books over 150 pages may count for two books and books for local library programs are also acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>All participants who read ten books will receive a voucher for two tickets to see the Chicago Wolves. The individual who reads the most books beyond the ten book goal, this summer\u2019s \u201cGrand Champion,\u201d will receive two tickets for Disney on Ice.<\/p>\n<p>After reading their books, students should have their parents visit RepStephens.com and click \u201cSummer Reading Program.\u201d There, they can list how many books they have read over the summer. Parents and students can also drop off or mail a paper form at Rep. Stephens\u2019 Chicago district office (5515 N. East River Rd.) that is available for download on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/repstephens.com\/\">RepStephens.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Informational brochures on state and local programs will also be available.
