Rep. Stephens Hosts Halloween Decoration Contest

This October, State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) is hosting a Halloween Decoration Contest. 20th District constituents are invited to take a photo of their outdoor or indoor decorations and submit them to Rep. Stephens’ office to choose the winners.

“Whether you’ve had the skeletons up since Labor Day or are getting started on the decorations, this is a great chance to compete in your community in a fun, spooky event this Halloween season,” said Rep. Stephens. “We will have multiple categories to compete in and get in the spirit, or spirits! Best of luck!”

The different categories to compete in are:

  • Best Overall
  • Best Pumpkin Carvings
  • Best Inflatables and/or Light Display
  • Most Original
  • Best Theme

Winners for each category will win a gift card to an area restaurantSubmissions are due by Friday, October 27th and winners will be announced on Halloween. Because this is a neighborhood competition, no gore or adult themes will be considered in this contest. Submissions can be made by visiting:

“Because all our communities will be seeing your decorations, please make sure to keep the decorations appropriate and not too frightening,” Rep. Stephens continued. “We can get into the spooky season that’s fun for children and adults to make our communities festive and fun!”

Stephens concurrently serves as the CEO of one of the most successful municipalities in the nation, Rosemont, Illinois. Prior to becoming mayor, Brad Stephens served the Village of Rosemont as a member of its Board of Trustees for 18 years.
